SBH Endowment Fund
The SBH Endowment fund was initiated in 1984. The objective was to provide for
the growth and financial security of SBH. Revenues generated through gifts and
investments would provide for educational, cultural, capital needs, and general
operating expenses.
To date, the fund has grown to $500,000. This represents $250,000 in gifts and
contributions and $250,000 through prudent investment. The most visible component
is the Sarah Maimon Memorial Scholarship Fund. Children of members are awarded a
gift of $2,000 upon reaching Bar/Bat Mitzvah. This gift is to provide for
continuing their Jewish education. To date, The fund has awarded almost $100,000
in the form of scholarships and grants.
