Seattle Sephardic Treasures at the Bazaar

Help preserve the Sephardic past for the sake of the Sephardic future!

The Sephardic Studies Initiative of the University of Washington, spearheaded by Dr. Devin Naar, has already uncovered hundreds of original books and documents in Ladino and other languages pertaining to the Sephardic experience.

We’ve only just begun!

Bring your Ladino books and documents to the Sephardic Treasures booth at the SBH bazaar to have them interpreted by experts!

Loan them to the Sephardic Studies Initiative so that they be digitized, preserved, and included in the first online Sephardic resource Library.

View original Seattle Sephardic Treasures already contributed by members of the local community. See the treasures first-hand!

Attend a special workshop on deciphering Ladino sources in Hebrew scripts, 1 pm,

Fellowship room in the main sanctuary building!

You can make an impact! Help preserve Seattle’s rich Sephardic heritage for future generations!
